The Great Barrier Reef World Heritage area is home to many bright and beautiful coral varieties. There are about 400 different types of coral that can be found in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Coral come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colour. All corals are small colonies of polyps which are closely related to Jellyfish.
There are two main types of corals — hard and soft.
